Kurt Maute's "Atrial Fibrillation" Story

As some of you may know, Kurt Maute - one of our fellow Puyallup Cyclopaths, has had a history of atrial fibrillation.  This condition would cause his heart to race at times (in our case, it would bother him on bike rides).  The condition would limit how vigorously Kurt could ride and was, understandably, very frustrating for him when cycling (not to mention the other health concerns associated with atrial fibrillation).  After taking medication for the condition for quite some time - with mixed results, Kurt decided to try a new surgical procedure in 2013.  Fortunately, the procedure was very successful; and Kurt's problem has been resolved.

Recently, Kurt sent me a three minute YouTube video that tells his story.  It is very interesting and informative.  Since atrial fibrillation affects one in every four people, some of us may encounter this problem in our own families at some point.  Kurt would be an excellent resource if any of us ever need guidance on this topic.
